Climate Strategy 2010

The message from Rector Ralf Hemmingsen is clear: no matter what happens at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) in December 2009, climate change will remain one of the greatest challenges that mankind has ever faced.

The role of University of Copenhagen

Universities provide the solid and latest knowledge that society needs to face the climate challenge. At the same time closer university cooperation with business and other parts of society is key.With this Climate Strategy 2010 the University of Copenhagen intends to strengthen its leadership on climate change in 2010 onwards. By doing this we also hope to inspire others to follow suit.

There is no Plan B!

There is no Plan B because we have no "Planet B", Ralf Hemmingsen says, quoting the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso. At the University
of Copenhagen we will remain focused on "Planet A".
