Top of the pops - celebrity singers and artists perform at concert with a conscience during crucial UN climate talks in Copenhagen
The concert
Ticket sales are in full swing, the date is approaching for the Dance 4 Climate Change with more acts to be announced.
Organizers are pleased to announce that one of the world's most successful rock bands EUROPE will be performing live together with other acts to support the Seal the Deal! campaign to mobilize everyone - political leaders, the business sector and civil society, including NGOs and youth - on an ambitious, global scale to apply pressure for action on climate change.
A multitude of artists
Rock band Europe, with the 1980s worldwide hit 'The Final Countdown', will perform live on Monday 7th December with other international and local artists, including the U.S. hip hop and RnB star Akon, Shaggy, Danish Danseorkestret, and the new Danish hit maker Rasmus Seebach.
They will be on stage in PARKEN to send a clear message to the governments of the world that it is time to unite and combat climate change. You can follow through facebook group Dance 4 Climate Change where new acts will be announced.
Plenty of attention
The Dance 4 Climate Change Concert will be broadcast across the world. Millions of people from different communities around the world will watch the event, to support and send a clear message to world leaders to Seal the Deal! on a powerful climate change agreement in Copenhagen.
So far more than 20 global TV companies have agreed to fully support and endorse the event, from Uruguay, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Morocco, to Cook Islands, and many others.
Supporting a good cause
Dance 4 Climate Change event not only sends a message to world leaders to Seal the Deal! but also directly contributes to making a difference. The net ticket sales for the concert will be entirely distributed to the Environment Program Water for LifeTM, which seeks to alter the fact that 42% of the world's population still live without water and general sanitation solutions.

About COP15 - the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009
The United Nations Climate Change Conference will take place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 7 to 18 December 2009. The conference includes the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 15) and the 5th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 5).
According to the Bali roadmap, a framework for climate change mitigation beyond 2012 is to be agreed there. The Copenhagen Climate Talks are an essential event to secure an emissions reductions agreement that will replace the Kyoto Protocol before it expires.
Some 12,000 participants are expected to take part in COP15, including ministers and officials from 192 countries, along with NGOs and media.

About PARKEN
Denmark's national stadium is one of Europe's largest heated indoor arenas. The arena has a maximum capacity of 50,000 guests. PARKEN's unique roof, which weighs 550 tons and covers an area of approx 12.000 m2, closes without sound at a speed of 8 meters per minute. An advanced heating and ventilation system makes it possible to use the arena throughout the whole year regardless of weather conditions.
Green Event
The event will neutralize emissions associated with its electricity and gas consumption. CO2 emissions from the event will be offset through renewable energy, energy efficiency, forest restoration and energy education campaigns. Production for the event will be sourced locally and the event will be run as sustainably as possible. All those attending will be asked to contribute to minimizing the event's environmental footprint by recycling their waste and choosing sustainable travel options.
